Building robust software products based in scientific principles

Our client is looking to recruit a Scientist with strong software development skills to join their team. In this role, the Scientist would be researching, developing and building physical models based around geological principles. The role would involve algorithm, GUI, and systems architecture development based on Windows. This will further involve product design, build, test and deployment.

Requirements:
* 1st or 2.1 in Physics, Mathematical Engineering or Computer Science.
* An advanced degree (relevant research based Masters or PhD) or relevant commercial work experience in scientific based software.
* Programming experience in two or more of the following: Fortran, C++ or C#. Additional experience with C would be of interest (but is not essential).
* Must be comfortable in working to deadlines, and appreciate the need to deliver a product on time.

Additional experience in: WinForms, WPF, QML, CUDA, OpenCL, HTML5, machine learning concepts, 2D/3D graphics and continuous integration technologies would be desirable.

In return, an excellent remunerations package is on offer including performance related bonuses. Relocation assistance (within the UK) is on offer for applicable candidates.
