Web Browser Engineer, Chromium / Embedded (25594)
Modern browsers are a miracle of engineering, driving highly dynamic hardware-accelerated content across multiple platforms, in step with evolving standards. Join this Cambridge team and help them as they tailor the latest and greatest in browser rendering tech to suit their next generation embedded hardware.
You don't need to be an expert in web browser technology to take advantage of their great work environment and host of benefits. You will need:
- Commercial experience in either embedded software or web browser technology such as Chromium, WebKit, or Gecko
- Excellent software development skills in a suitable language such as C, C++, Rust
- Commercial experience befitting your seniority
Embedded Linux, and OpenGL / ES experience are a further asset.
Whilst remote working may be in place initially, you will later work in the office in Cambridge. Hence it is extremely likely you will need to either be based in Cambridge, UK, or be able to relocate and have full existing UK work permission without time limit, restriction or sponsorship.
However, extremely strong international candidates' CVs will be reviewed by ECM.
You'll be joining a relaxed and capable group of senior engineers, with the strength and support of an international company behind you. Their benefits package is excellent and salaries extremely competitive. Perks include profit sharing, as well as pension and healthcare.
Interested? Send your CV to ECM Selection; whilst we can only put forward the top few candidates, we do read every CV and try to respond to everyone. Or if you're already registered with us, recommend a friend for £250 at http://ecmselection.co.uk/tell-a-friend.
Please note: even if you don't have exactly the background indicated, do contact us now if this type of job is of interest - we may well have similar opportunities that you would be suited to. And of course, we always get your permission before submitting your CV to a company.
