Berkshire / commutable SW London
£highly competitive + benefits

Hey there! This is just one of many top career opportunities ECM can suggest — if this job isn't right for you, let us do the hard work! Tell us what you're looking for and we'll start searching for you. We promise to treat your CV as strictly confidential.

Seeking OO coding skills and top quals for outstanding early career opportunity

We are seeking an academically bright Software Engineer with an excellent understanding of object-oriented design and solid coding skills in a modern OO language.

Our client has created an industry-leading data platform which abstracts away the complexity of disparate back end data sources to provide a simple and efficient toolkit for building bespoke business applications. As well as continuing to develop this core product, your role would include providing consultancy to help customers to develop user-friendly business tools, tailored to their specific needs, and where necessary this may include the extension of the core platform to support novel features required by the customer. This work would typically be carried out at our client’s offices, but may occasionally involve working on customers’ sites.

This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic company with excellent scope for rapid career and salary progression in a supportive company culture where you will build upon your already-impressive skills.

You would need:

  • A strong academic background with a 2.1 or better degree in a STEM subject from a top university (upper Russel group, or non-UK equivalent) as well as top grades at A-level (or equivalent)
  • Experience in developing with a modern object-oriented language, preferably JavaScript, Java or C#. Web development with HTML5 and CSS3 is a bonus. Please note that extensive experience will not mitigate the need for strong academic grades
  • You will need to be well-presented, with the communication skills and confidence to work effectively with customers

The role features a highly competitive salary and benefits package appropriate to high calibre candidates. You would be working with a team of expert colleagues within a friendly supportive environment, and once up to speed you would enjoy a high degree of autonomy over your work.
Interested? Send your CV to ECM Selection; whilst we can only put forward the top few candidates, we do read every CV and try to respond to everyone. Or recommend a friend for £250, details at http://ecmselection.co.uk/tell-a-friend.
