Start-up company looking to hire an experienced user interface specialist

A rapidly expanding Cambridge start-up seeks an experienced software engineer to join their cross-discipline team of engineers.

This company is creating a route to dramatic reductions in waste in the manufacture of state-of-the-art coatings for ceramics, foods and textiles; offering significant gains in sustainability to the industry. The software engineer would be working closely with electronic engineers to develop and improve user interfaces with embedded hardware technology and so industrial experience with electronic control and communication is of paramount importance.

You will be expected to have the following skills and experience for this role:

  • At least 5 years of commercial software development experience including user interface design and Windows application development
  • Good knowledge of software development for embedded systems, including communication standards for equipment interfacing
  • Confident with version control and effective documentation and report writing
  • A good degree (2.1 or above) in a STEM subject, from a well-respected university

Full permission to live and work in the UK without time limit, restriction or sponsorship will also be required.
