JavaScript Aficionado needed for thriving Cambridge start-up

This company needs a passionate JavaScript programmer! Someone for whom software engineering is a hobby as well as a career, who enjoys the challenge of creating substantial web applications using JavaScript, and who has a detailed understanding of the JavaScript language.

This role is with a successful Cambridge start-up, enjoying commercial success and actively seeking to expand their development team. As a JavaScript Engineer, you would be key to creating new features and capabilities and helping them open up new market opportunities.

You will need:

  • JavaScript and AJAX aptitude demonstrated by an impressive hobby project (or substantial open source software contributions), accessible via GitHub or similar platform (or even zip file, tar archive etc.)
  • A degree in a STEM subject from a well-known university
  • Full right to work in the UK without restriction, time limit, or sponsorship

Bonus points for:

  • Python, Lua, PHP, C#, or Java
  • Web security awareness

An advantage of joining at an early stage is that the role will offer the opportunity to get involved with all aspects of their software and to broaden both your technical and your leadership skills as the company grows.
