Design for a range of mechatronics and robotic systems

This highly regarded growing company seeks a technically outstanding client-facing Systems Engineer with a can-do entrepreneurial mind and a passion for learning. This is a role that combines mechanical engineering with electronics and software.

Our client will consider applicants from recent graduates or PhDs through to those with some commercial project experience. The role includes developing concepts, technologies and products for leading device companies working often, but not exclusively, in medical technologies. You will work within a diverse team where you will contribute from day one.

Specifically, the role will include the design of electromechanical systems, development of control systems, sensors, actuation mechanisms, valves, basic electronic design, proof of concept test rigs, design for manufacture and assembly, presenting to clients and involvement in taking new opportunities and developing them into business opportunities.

This company employs the brightest engineers; as the Systems Engineer you will have an enthusiasm for technical innovation and a desire to succeed. A hobby with a technical or practical dimension will be a real plus. You will also have excellent personal communication skills to meet the client demands of this role.

You can offer:

  • A 1st or 2.1 in a technical degree from a world-leading university, backed up by A* and A grade A levels. You may also have a PhD or have gained some commercial experience.
  • Experience in the design of electro-mechanical systems
  • Knowledge of drive systems, motors, robots, measurement, control systems and automation
  • Exposure to electronics design required from mechatronics systems
  • Hands on experience of 3D CAD
  • Exposure to embedded coding for control systems
