Hey there! This is just one of many top career opportunities ECM can suggest — if this job isn't right for you, let us do the hard work! Tell us what you're looking for and we'll start searching for you. We promise to treat your CV as strictly confidential.

C# and Python for novel life science instrumentation

If you have completed your degree in software or electronics engineering and have at least one relevant internship, have a look at this opportunity to join an exciting start-up venture. They are developing a revolutionary technology for the life sciences industry, enabling cheaper and faster routes to development and improved outcomes for clinicians and researchers.

The work is within a multi-disciplinary team of scientists and engineers. With a small team there is plenty of opportunity to get involved in complex sub-system design and integration, involving microfluidics and image processing.

The requirements are:-

  • 1st or 2.1 degree from a highly ranked world-class university in software engineering, electronics engineering, computer science or physics
  • Excellent programming skills, including the use of OO design principles and evidence of developing applications in C# and Python
  • Appreciation of software development practices, including defining user requirements, creating robust designs and testing throughout the development life-cycle
  • An enthusiastic approach with a strong team-working ethic

Any additional experience of image processing in real-time, or working with embedded processors and FPGAs would also be of interest.
