User-centric design of feature-rich web applications

Are you a Web Application Designer with the ability to see GUI interactions from the user’s perspective and map out intuitive interfaces with a natural workflow? If so, this job may appeal to you – it is a greenfield project with a well-known and established international company that is known for its high-tech software tools. They are now seeking to build a revolutionary new platform, enabling a more streamlined and collaborative way of working for their users.

You would be joining a new Cambridge-based engineering team, working closely with a brilliant team of engineers to turn your concepts into world-leading software products that users will love to use. The company values a flexible, non-bureaucratic approach and the team culture has a fun start-up feel combined with the stability of a successful company.

You will need:

  • A 1st or 2.1 degree in a STEM subject from a well-respected university
  • A proven aptitude for designing complex web applications with extensive functionality and depth of interaction.
  • Familiarity with creating mock-ups and using common GUI design tools such as InVision or Figma
  • Solid front end coding skills with HTML and CSS
  • Full existing right to work in the UK without sponsorship, time limit, or restriction.

Any of the following skills would be a bonus: JavaScript / TypeScript, Bootstrap 5, Photoshop / Illustrator, SCSS / SASS, jQuery, PHP, Node.js, or SVG

The company offer a competitive pay and benefits package. The role will be predominantly office based but with some flexibility for occasional home working.
