Cloud and desktop software for scientific and analytical applications

Based in Cambridge, this technology company develop hardware and software used as a multidisciplinary platform. Their innovative products enable their industrial partners and customers to perform complex discoveries and R&D processes.

They currently are looking to grow their engineering team and are recruiting for a Senior C# Developer to join their software group. As a senior engineer, you would lead and mentor small project groups on architecture and development of new C# applications. You’ll work on complex, algorithmic problems used in instrumentation control, data analysis, or image processing, and look to implement AI / ML techniques. You’ll be involved in the full software life-cycle and contribute to testing, documentation and collaboration with the science team.

Requirements:

  • Having completed a STEM degree, you’ll have industry experience leading projects based on developing software products using C#. Ideally, you will have some exposure to cloud technologies.
  • You’ll be highly familiar with working in an Agile software development environment.
  • You can demonstrate relevant project work where you developed software for instrumentation control, data analysis and / or image processing.
  • A keen interest in biology or physics would be beneficial.

Due to projects involving hardware, it is expected that the role would predominately be based at their offices in Cambridge. Some homeworking (up to 1 day per week when projects allow) would be possible. On offer is an excellent remunerations package including a competitive salary and a range of benefits.
