Building novel scientific tools used for healthcare applications

Currently incubated within the company, this growing team is tackling projects in the evolving sector of healthcare and medical instrumentation. They are building technically advanced automation platforms used for a range of therapeutic application areas. They seek a Mechanical Design Engineer to join them and take a key role within this multidisciplinary team. Key responsibilities would include design and development of automation technologies using CAD.

Requirements:

  • You’ll have qualifications in mechanical engineering and most importantly relevant project experience as a mechanical design engineer who has worked on product / instrumentation development within a high-tech industry. Experience with plastic injection moulding would be desirable.
  • Skilled working on technically challenging engineering problems, where your understanding of electro-mechanical assemblies is utilised to come up with bespoke solutions in 3D CAD (ideally using SolidWorks).
  • Ability to sketch and render photorealistic images.
  • Experience with sourcing both off-the-shelf and custom parts and managing suppliers.
