Developing algorithms for electronics based physical hardware projects

This Cambridge based company are looking for an Algorithm Modelling Engineer to join their engineering team. This technology start-up is developing key solutions used for electronics engineering applications. As an Algorithm Modelling Engineer, you’ll develop the mathematical code to optimise and enhance current performances of their electronic-based modules. You’ll work with physical systems (in RF and electronics) to analyse, model and develop solutions to complex problems. The role is a combination of coding, engineering, data structures and mathematics.

Requirements

  • Strong mathematics background (MSc or PhD level) with substantial project experience in algorithm development for physical / electronics engineering applications.
  • Experience of mathematical modelling using MATLAB or Python.
  • Broad knowledge of data structures within software.
  • Experience with C / C++ / automated test systems would be desirable.

This role is based in the company’s Cambridge offices. Hybrid working is available (Thursdays and Fridays working from home). This is a full-time, permanent position. Compensation includes a share option scheme.
