Electronic Systems Engineer (27140)

London
£Competitive salary + share options

Designing electrical and electronic elements of autonomous systems

Working on autonomous systems from initial concept through to mass production, this is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Electronic Systems Engineer to make their mark in a growing start-up company.

Based in modern offices in the centre of London, you would be working closely with mechanical, software and AI engineers to produce state-of-the-art autonomous systems. These systems are to be used for security and surveillance purposes, as well as for humanitarian purposes.

Your work would involve driving the design and build of PCBs, ensuring their successful incorporation into prototypes and the final product. Sometimes you might use off-the-shelf components, or you may design parts yourself. You will be able to use oscilloscopes, spectrum analysers and signal generators for testing and debug. You would also be comfortable liaising with suppliers and setting up volume manufacture.

You will need:

  • A master’s level degree or above in a technical or engineering subject, such as Electronics and Electrical Engineering
  • Full rights to work in the UK without time limit or sponsorship
  • An excellent understanding of electronics design principles and the physics behind them
  • Evidence of successfully integrating electronics with software and mechanical designs to produce complete functioning systems
  • The ability to design multi-layer PCBs using Altium Designer, as well as the practical skill to make, modify and test electrical and electronic circuits
  • The ability to program in C and Python
  • Happy to be based onsite, in London

It would be great if you also have:

  • Experience in RF engineering and antenna design
  • Commercial experience designing to meet safety and electromagnetic compatibility requirements for European CE Marking

The growing company offers a flat structure with opportunities for career development as the company grows. Share options and a very competitive salary are also on offer for the successful candidate.
