Life sciences automation software in Python to make new treatments possible

Help bring critical medical treatments to more people by applying your Python expertise to process automation and control problems. This company is at an exciting early stage, but are backed by a well-established and highly respected parent company, resulting in a combination of opportunity and stability.

Joining a multidisciplinary development team, you will work closely with roboticists, systems engineers, embedded developers, mechanical engineers, and test engineers. Your skills and experience will make a vital contribution, creating the software that connects the other aspects together as a working system and facilitates interaction with the user.

You will need:

  • A 1st or 2.1 degree in computer science or similar subject from a well-respected university.
  • Significant hands-on experience in software engineering; naturally, you will be au fait with software engineering best practice, Agile or XP working, TDD, or BBD.
  • Substantial software development skills in Python (writing large, well-structured applications), including expertise in Django, Flask, FastAPI or similar.
  • Good database design skills and familiarity with message-based software design.
  • Full existing UK work permission.
