Software Platform Engineer (27465)

This role combines design and build of on-premises and cloud network and server architecture infrastructure. Continuous deployment is a feature. You will pattern deployments for future re-use and scalability. Automating robust, repeatable and secure environments is a key consideration.

You will bring:

• Experience managing servers, storage (and ideally) network resources both on-premises and in the cloud (AWS, Azure).
• Skills creating and managing infrastructure as code (IaC) templates with the likes of Terraform.
• Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Jenkins, or any suitable), Git triggers and the like.
• Awareness of security concerns and practices (certificates, secrets, and hardening systems against ingress).
• The ability to communicate clearly, and a willingness to learn new techniques and technologies whilst collaborating with colleagues.

Additional experience of virtualised containers, hypervisors, more advanced networking and/or DevSecOps is a plus.

Given the nature of the role, the company needs someone full time in the office, hence seeking applicants local to Cambridge or clearly keen and able to relocate.
