ECM was at Cambridge University as part of the Computer Laboratory Supporters’ Club Recruitment Fair. During our time there, we held our annual competition to engage with students (although faculty and other company representatives also tried!).

For 2019, we held our “Hello World” competition – asking people to spot the programming language. We were pleased it was engaging and certainly had people talking about it as well as allowing people to open up and show off their knowledge. Code that was written ranged from Basic and Delphi to more modern JavaScript, C# and Python.

Thank you to everyone we met with and who entered the competition. The winners of the prize draw are listed below, get in touch if that’s you or get in touch with them if you know them!

The ECM Prize Winners are:

  • 1st place: Ran ZMIGROD

Special mentions go to the following: Oliver Hope; Mustafa Caglar; Daniel Carter;Momcilo Topalovic; Chris Baish; Xuan Guo; Mina Sekularac; Oliver Wales; Freddie Poser – not prize winners this time but thanks for entering!
