This growing technical consultancy works with a variety of clients, predominately public sector and defence organisations. With expansion, they are seeking a Technical Consultant with some commercial experience to work on their projects.

Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, the Technical Consultant will be able to bring their skill and objectivity to bear, providing high quality strategy and business analysis and delivering advice on future technology developments.

You will have a strong academic background in science or technology, followed by some commercial experience developing strategies in the IT supply chain, analysing solutions and providing technical assurances. You will exhibit a genuine interest in information and communications technology with the ability to plan for future technology developments.

Depending upon the scope of the project, you could lead assignments or work alongside a skilled team comprising client and colleagues. An excellent portfolio of training is available to consolidate your day to day work, with the opportunity to branch out into specialist areas including enterprise architecture, security assurance, project management and technology procurement.

You must have a good degree in a STEM subject from a well-ranked world class university alongside excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

In addition, some of the following would be of additional interest:-

  • Software development techniques including Agile
  • Business or system analysis
  • Knowledge of information security

Candidates with knowledge of the defence industry and/or Government sector would be of particular interest.

Please note that you will be expected to work on defence work from time to time and therefore, due to the nature of some of the work that is undertaken for Government customers, this client is only able to consider UK nationals.
