Physicist Engineer (Optics) (24275)

Our client is growing fast, and looking for an outstanding Physicist Engineer to lead projects on new optic systems central to their instruments. The role sits within a multidisciplinary team and so broad problem-solving skills and aptitude to apply technology within novel areas is required.

Requirements:

• Advanced degree holder (MSc or PhD) in Mechanical Engineering or Physics. Strong preference for commercial work experience. Must demonstrate relevant project experience.
• Demonstrable background in designing, building and testing optical and imaging systems.
• Problem solving / troubleshooting skills with lab based optics.
• Experience with Zemax would be desirable.
