Join their software team to explore and explain cutting edge environmental research, bringing knowledge accessibly to the public through web technology.

As well as a strong technical degree in a relevant subject from a top university, you’ll bring:

• A strong web development background with commercial experience – you’ll need front end development skills and any server side development experience will be beneficial in this role
• A clear knowledge of modern web technologies and their Agile development
• An appreciation for the development culture around modern web frameworks
• An interest in rapid development, iteration, prototyping and experimentation

The company uses JavaScript, React and Ruby on Rails – experience in Ruby is not required. They also do a fair amount of data visualisation (including geographic, plotting environmental impact) so any experience with GIS, mapping or visualisation libraries is helpful.

This is a full-time role in Cambridge, UK; you’ll need full existing permission to live and work in the UK without time limit, restriction or sponsorship. And above all you’ll enjoy working somewhere where the goal is not company profits but making the world a better place.
