Systems Engineer (24590)
This well-funded privately owned start-up develops highly accurate and robust MEMS devices, used across a range of industries to mitigate wastage and produce real efficiencies. Each system is very high value and developed on a bespoke basis for clients. There are a number of technical challenges to overcome to maintain the accuracy in the difficult environmental conditions – high temperature and vibration. The engineers continue to push the boundaries in technical terms and new IP is being developed on an ongoing basis.
As the company expands, they seek a Systems Engineer with a diverse set of skills across hardware and software. The successful candidate will be a pro-active and enthusiastic engineer or physicist with a Masters or PhD in physics or electronic engineering (or similar).
The following skills and knowledge are of interest:-
- Design and assembly of electronics, particularly with respect to EMC considerations, high temperature operation and complex grounding
- Design and build of experimental apparatus for precision instrumentation
- Code development for embedded microcontroller and DSP in C
- PCB prototyping and debugging (preferably Altium)
- 3D CAD skills for mechanical assemblies
