Familiarity with environmental chambers, especially Satimo anechoic

This well established Cambridge company has an excellent RF antenna test facility. They seek an Antenna Test Engineer capable of designing complex tests to help with the development of prototype designs.

As an Antenna Test Engineer you will have good understanding of RF. This may have come from your PhD research or commercial experience. Fundamentals can be backed up by a good engineering degree from a well-known and respected university. Overall you will be able to demonstrate most of the following:

  • Excellent knowledge of RF test equipment such as spectrum analysers, network analysers, signal generators, power meters
  • Previous experience with environmental chambers, especially a Satimo anechoic chamber
  • Good working knowledge of standard RF measurements such as Equivalent Isotropically Radiated Power, Total Isotropic Sensitivity, Bit Error Rate, Return Loss/VSWR
  • A good exposure to EMC test procedures / requirements
