Take the next step in your career, secure position, financial sector

Do you have skills designing software architecture for real systems? Whether you’re looking to take the next step up in your career, or you’re already a software architect looking for your next role, this position may interest you.

You’d be joining a top financial software company to cut new ground for a billion dollar product. Initially created 25 years ago, the team have moved with the times and now apply modern tools and approaches to make the system meet the needs of 21st century clients.

Why is this a billion dollar product? Over a billion dollars of investments are handled by this software every year, and growth is not just anticipated but happening. Major new projects mean greater opportunities, including green field development.

The company is looking for an up and coming, or experienced, software architect, and breadth is far more important than specialism. You’ll have the confidence and experience to make inroads into projects involving Linux software, major database systems, and web technologies.

Your CV will show your:

  • Good degree (1st or 2:1) in computing or a relevant subject from a top university, and strong A-level grades
  • Experience working on products making good use of major database systems (preferably Oracle, otherwise SQL Server, etc.)
  • Experience developing/architecting Linux software applications
  • Experience developing/architecting web software products: this could be C# and ASP.NET, Python and Django, or Java and Spring

It is also imperative that you’re a self-starter, able to take on new challenges and deliver results, and a great communicator.

You’ll join a skilled team on the south side of London. Whilst initially (and frequently thereafter) you’ll need to work on site with them, many staff have laptops and periodic work from home or elsewhere is possible. You will naturally therefore need to be based within commute distance along with having full permission to live and work in the UK.

Interested? Send a CV to ECM Selection which clearly conveys your suitability for this particular role. We can only put forward the top few candidates, but we read every CV and try to respond to everyone. Or recommend a friend for £250 – http://ecmselection.co.uk/tell-a-friend.
