Using electromagnetics modelling to provide commercial solutions

Part of a multinational company, this UK team based in Cambridge provides technical assistance and expertise to physical modelling problems and engineering development projects. They seek an Electromagnetics Specialist to join them providing key knowledge and applied numerical modelling in capacitive, resistive or inductive systems, and magnetism.

Requirement:

  • Strong academic background, including A-level maths and physics, a 1st / 2.1 in Physics (from a well-ranked university), and a postgraduate degree (Masters or ideally PhD) specialising in electromagnetics.
  • Demonstrable first principles understanding of a range of electromagnetics using simulation modelling tools.
  • Familiarity using mathematical modelling tools (MATLAB, Octave, MultiPhysics).
  • Strong communication skills (presentations, teaching or similar).

This is a commercial role so an appreciation of business focused goals is important. In return, there is the opportunity to work in a supportive environment in well-furnished offices in central Cambridge.
