You don’t need existing experience of client side web development – though any you can bring is an asset. You will already have an understanding of how the web works, of networks and protocols. You may have written Python server-side code before, though this is not required.
Your CV will evidence your:
- Good degree in a scientific or engineering subject, from a top university; backed by strong A-level grades.
- Commercial (or equivalent) experience as part of a technically-focused team, where a good proportion of your own time was spent writing Python code. You will have a clear understanding of Python including its data types and object-oriented features.
- Interest in developing full software applications including graphical apps and algorithms.
- Ability to work in a reasonably “agile” manner, in the sense of iterating towards your collective goals, working closely with colleagues, and regularly producing (and taking stock of) your results.
The company has great offices in a central Cambridge location – whilst they don’t have parking on site, they are convenient for public transport (walkable from the station) and there is city parking in easy reach as well as park and ride.
