Creating SDKs for high data-throughput systems

This established and successful Cambridge-based software company creates SDKs and toolsets that are capable of processing large amounts of graphics data in near-real-time. Their code can be found in both domestic and commercial products worldwide, and used in a wide range of hardware from a number of OEMs.

They are seeking a junior C++ Developer to join their team on the west of Cambridge. Successful candidate CVs will need to demonstrate:

  • a strong technical background in Computer Science or related subject, with at least a 2.1 Honours from a top-ranking university;
  • modern C++ development experience in a TDD / Scrum commercial environment;
  • experience developing code close to hardware – if not commercially then at least through hobby projects with a Raspberry Pi or Arduino;
  • an interest in developing software tool sets, SDKs, drivers or data processing code;
  • familiarity with popular dev tools and environments, incl. Git, Jira, Mercurial or TeamCity.

Working in a dynamic and fast-moving team, the successful C++ Developer will also need to evidence clear communication skills, and have a track-record of quickly delivering production-ready code. Candidates will also need existing permission to work in the UK, without restrictions or the need for sponsorship, already in place.

As well as working on a spread of engaging and challenging technical projects, the C++ Developer will enjoy working in bright, spacious and modern offices in an excellent Cambridge-based location. With easy connections by road and public transport, and ample parking space on site, they are in an ideal place for anyone commuting from Cambridge, or anywhere along the A14 / M11 corridors. A generous remuneration package is on offer for the right candidate, with a range of perks and benefits on top.

This would be an ideal role for a recent graduate starter, seeking their first career move into an established and supportive tech company.
