Senior Software Engineer (24940)
This established small team develop high-performance electronics and software systems for industrial applications with a number of world-renowned blue-chip companies. The company enjoys an established reputation with a growing customer base and is now looking to appoint a Senior Software Engineer to join their team.
As the Senior Software Engineer, you will offer high-level software design and coding skills together with the ability to manage small projects and mentor junior software engineers.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Software Engineer who would like to develop their customer-facing skills, since a key part of the role will be to work with customers to ensure their requirements are interpreted correctly, then continue to work in partnership as projects are progressed. As many customers are based around the world, there is an opportunity for some international travel to the USA, Europe and Asia.
The requirements are:-
- A good degree (1st or 2.1 from a well-ranked university) in science or engineering
- Continuing enjoyment of hands-on programming in C++ or C#, using OO design principles
- Ability and desire to manage software projects
- Ability to work within a small design team in close liaison with clients, displaying a collaborative approach to work
