Validate critical regulatory compliance of scientific / engineering products for manufacture

Based in Cambridge (close to bus routes and just over a mile from the train station), this growing scientific engineering company have secured investment and are developing new features for their customers based on their core expertise in microfluidics within electromechanical products. These products are used in scientific environments including pharmaceuticals and healthcare.

To qualify these products, they are looking for a Quality Engineer to provide a hands-on statistical-based verification and validation approach during new product introduction and manufacturing, demonstrating compliance to international standards.

Requirements

  • Degree qualified in Engineering or Physics and industry experience working in a product development environment.
  • Demonstrable experience in: Conducting device risk management; Design verification and validation; Defining system testing (covering electronics, mechanics, and software); and working to ISO9001 standards.
  • Must have strong communication skills (including documentation) and key knowledge of quality standards and processes.
  • Any experience with specifically medical standards would be highly desirable.
