Use your skills to develop software tools to tackle genetic diseases

Are you a software developer looking for a new challenge? Are you keen to move away from your current sector, and want a project that can make a real difference? Our client is positioned at the intersection of technology and biology, and through their tools is transforming healthcare and clinical analyses of genetic diseases (including Huntingdon’s disease, cystic fibrosis and cancer).

Unsurprisingly, they are a proud equal opportunities employer – with an enviable collaborative work culture and are supportive of careers.

They currently have an opening within their bioinformatics team for a C++ Software Developer to develop analytical tools.

Requirements:

  • 1st / 2.1 degree in computer science, engineering, maths, physics or similar from a well-regarded university.
  • Extensive experience with modern C++ developing mathematical, version controlled tools. [Please note that shortlisted candidates would be required to do a C++ test.]
  • Experience with software tools development practices.
  • Further experience with Python, clinical / genomic data, and algorithm development would be highly beneficial.

This is an excellent opportunity for a mathematically-minded software developer to work on new projects in healthcare. In return, there’s an excellent remuneration package.
