Providing product expertise for technical engineering customers

Due to a growing customer-base, our client is looking for an Applications Consultant to join their professional services team. In this role, there are a variety of work areas to undertake including training customers, consulting, delivering custom scripts and understanding customer’s use of tools. These can be at client sites, so it will require international travel and how to work autonomously.

Requirements:

  • Background: You’ll be a degree holder (ideally in computer science) and have several years’ commercial experience as a software consultant or a customer-facing engineer.
  • Technical: You will have strong Python skills, and some experience with C / C++; you’ll be familiar with Linux internals and know how to debug code. Further experience with GDB, Java or native applications would be desirable.
  • Non-technical: Excellent communication, time-keeping, and organisational skills; must be able to speak with stakeholders at all levels.

Whilst coding would not be the main focus of this role, there is a requirement for someone who can read C / C++ code and write bespoke Python scripts. It would suit someone who likes to delivery projects and enjoys working directly with customers.

In return, there is an excellent remunerations package and the opportunity to be part of this growing success story.
