Avoid the Sargasso Sea of skill obsolescence with this forward-looking company

Are you a bright and accomplished web developer looking to make your next career move by taking on a leading role within a top-flight development team? Our Cambridge-based client works on a broad range of interesting projects in domains such as big data, algorithm development, and user interface design. Projects are often from scratch, so your challenge will be to lead the creation of elegant designs rather than to decipher a legacy code base, and your involvement would be from requirement capture through to final delivery.

You will need to be academically bright and an imaginative problem solver, with excellent design instincts, and willing and able to mentor junior team members or hold technical discussions with clients. You should have a broad range of skills and solid commercial experience in a range of technologies including:

  • Up to date JavaScript, Node.js, TypeScript, MySQL or Postgres SQL, React, HTML5/CSS3
  • AWS and virtualisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes are highly valued as are NoSQL and frameworks for front end development and automated test.
  • Knowledge of Python or mobile app development would be a bonus.

You will also need to be client facing and academically bright with a 1st or 2:1 degree in a STEM subject from a highly ranked university.

Our clients are not able to sponsor, so you will need the unrestricted right to work in the UK.

This is a great opportunity to join a truly forward-looking company where you will surf the leading edge of technology rather than get stuck in the doldrums! The nature of their work means this company can always stay up-to-date on tools and techniques.

Our client boasts a collaborative flexible and sociable work environment with an excellent range of benefits and a convenient location.
