Senior Physicist (Ion Optics / Vacuum Systems) (25219)

Based at their facilities in Oxfordshire, this company has developed a range of bench-top analytical instruments used in pharmaceutical R&D and scientific manufacturing. They are currently looking to expand their scientific engineering team and are looking for a Senior Physicist. This role would take a leading position in improving current designs of instruments and optimising applications areas and features.

Requirements:

• MSc / PhD in experimental physics or biophysics.
• Extensive commercial scientific instrumentation experience including hands-on experience with ion optics and vacuum systems. Further exposure to electronics in instruments for molecular diagnostics or analytical bioprocessing would be desirable.
• Experience with mass spectrometry or liquid chromatography technology.
• Additional experience with data processing (Python / LabVIEW) would be advantageous.

It is expected that interested applicants should have good communication skills and be able to present their work internally and also externally.
