Senior Software Architect (25270)
Based in central Cambridge this company develops industry-leading technology underpinning a range of identity-based services. They have big plans to leverage their existing technology and new investment to create new products and target new business opportunities. To bring these plans to fruition they are seeking an exceptional Senior Software Architect with excellent design skills and a broad and thorough understanding of software engineering.
As the lynch-pin of their Agile development team, Senior Software Architect will be instrumental in creating elegant and robust designs for a software ecosystem that encompasses embedded bare metal applications running on secure hardware through to server-based application code providing specialised APIs for cloud and enterprise services. Senior Software Architect’s skill and experience will ensure that best practice is followed and that the end product reaches the highest levels of quality, performance and robustness.
As well as impressive technical ability, the Senior Software Architect will need the communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with product management, software developers, and clients to agree requirements, as well as to provide support and mentoring for more junior staff.
You will need:
- A 1st or 2.1 degree in Computer Science or other applicable subject from a leading university.
- Extensive commercial software development experience including experience in architecting substantial, complex applications.
- Excellent coding skills in a range of languages including both C and Python as a minimum.
- A solid understanding of subjects such as security and cryptographic principles, embedded development, and enterprise or cloud application design.
