Building next generation features for consumer electronics

An opportunity has arisen for an Experienced Embedded Developer to work on the creation of next-generation features within a successful company specialising in high performance data streaming technology.

You would be joining their Cambridge-based Agile development team, working in tandem with their integrated circuit designers and software engineers to demonstrate proof of concept for new functionality prior to its implementation in hardware.

You would typically be involved with low level communication technologies such as I2C, SPI and UART, using GCC and CMAKE to build code for both Linux and the embedded target, and debugging via JTAG. This role can be expected to provide ample technical challenges and scope for creativity as well as the opportunity to progress into a Technical Lead role.

Our client offers a flexible work environment, competitive remuneration, and excellent benefits package.

The successful applicant will be able to show:

  • A 1st of 2:1 in a relevant subject such as Computer Science or Electronics from a well-respected university.
  • Excellent coding skills in C++, or possibly C, provided that you can demonstrable a strong understanding of C++
  • Experience in developing high performance, resource-constrained code for embedded real time operating systems (RTOS), as well as developing under Linux
  • Full unrestricted right to work in the UK without time limit, restriction, or sponsorship
