Hey there! This is just one of many top career opportunities ECM can suggest — if this job isn't right for you, let us do the hard work! Tell us what you're looking for and we'll start searching for you. We promise to treat your CV as strictly confidential.

Take technical ownership of complex digital / analogue electronics projects

We are looking for a Senior Electronics Engineer to join as a Technical Authority. As an expert in electronics, you will be freed of the constraints of management (budgets, team and project management and timescales) and take responsibility to deliver a technical solution to complex engineering problems.

Projects may be from a blank canvas or be based on prior applied innovative technology, in varied sectors including industrial, consumer products or energy related markets. Your opinions will be sought after, as you will be able to provide experience and knowledge to deliver a solution for these challenging electronics problems.

Requirements:

  • Strong academic background, possibly including a PhD in electronics.
  • Past academic projects on complex electronics followed by extensive commercial / industry experience in electronics for a wide range of application areas (such as power electronics, electronic sensor development, and wearable electronics).
  • Excellent communication skills – will be able to convey and explain complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • A proven track record in electronics innovation.

As an experienced engineer, you may still enjoy hands-on work (be it designing in CAD or looking through an oscilloscope), and may have forgotten more than some engineers have learnt! But you’ll always be looking to learn and take on interesting problems to solve.

In return, you’ll be in a supportive company where your expertise is truly valued, and will be rewarded with an excellent remuneration package.
