Cambridge start-up with home working

This very small start-up has recently gained significant investment allowing them to recruit three software developers. They expect you may have been working in a larger team on 4G mobile comms software projects and would relish the opportunity to have full view and involvement of the whole product. This code base is small enough for you to do that.

The company has not grown to the point where they require a permanent office. Currently they are based around Cambridge and make use of local shared office facilities when required. It is therefore anticipated that you would be able to commute to Cambridge though in practise these will be rare occasions. You will, however, regularly swap system hardware with colleagues.

You will demonstrate a strong academic background from a world leading university in a relevant subject related to software development and in particular several of the following:

  • Strong C++ development skills
  • Knowledge of gcc and Linux
  • A natural ability to work in an Object Oriented way
  • Exposure to working with a relaxed Agile / SCRUM approach
  • Knowledge of Telecomms protocols
  • Also advantageous to have used Kubernetes

This is a great opportunity to join a start-up that has already made a profit. They are offering share options and have a 10% pension scheme in place. Now is the time to join them as they take their first steps to expand.
