Cloud DevOps Engineer (25969)

Our client develops world-class video and audio analysis tools used by sports teams in the Premier League, FI racing and top-class athletics. As they expand and build their new cloud platform, they are seeking a smart DevOps Engineer to join their team.

Working within the cloud development team, you will help to design, deploy and operate modern cloud applications.

As well as a strong technical degree in a relevant subject from a top university, you’ll bring:

• Commercial experience with deployed cloud systems (preferably AWS)
• Advanced scripting (bash, PowerShell or a language such as Python or Go) - you don't need to be a developer, but will be a confident scripter and able to read developers' code where necessary
• Familiarity with containers (e.g. Docker) and orchestration (e.g. Kubernetes)
• A good grasp of networking, and how modern cloud-first systems are designed and operate

Ideally you'll have some experience of working to ensure good system performance, security and reliability, and the kinds of APIs and tools used to modify and monitor cloud deployments.

The client's employees are currently working mostly from home but they will be offered a planned and phased return to the office when restrictions are lifted. They have offices in central London and central Manchester; this role could be located at either.
