Reach your potential: create software aiding top-class athletes to reach theirs

This is an excellent chance for a sports-loving Software Engineer familiar with cloud-based design to enhance their career and to get insider access to many top-class sporting events.

Performance analysis tools are an integral part of planning a world-beating sporting strategy for teams and individuals at the top of their game. Our client’s innovative software tools give the competitive edge, allowing teams and athletes to reach their peak performance. Their product continues to be in high demand and so they are seeking a Software Engineer who has contributed to professional cloud-based design and implementation, to join their team in their Manchester offices, with an option to work in London.

You must be able to show evidence of your skills and exposure to development of cloud infrastructure, as a major part of the Software Engineer’s responsibilities will be developing the cloud applications suite. You will also be able to show your skill in a number of different coding languages. Our client prefers to work in Go, but is open to consider software engineers who work in other languages – capability, competence and flexibility are more important to them.

A genuine interest in sports such as Formula 1 Racing, Premiere League Football or long-distance athletics would also be an advantage, as part of the responsibilities would include attending sporting events to support the clients and software at point of use.

You will need:

  • An impressive academic background with a 1st or 2.1 STEM degree from a top university
  • Evidence of developing for cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) in a commercial context
  • Excellent coding skills in languages such as Rust, Python or C++, but Golang would be preferred
  • Full existing right to work in the UK without time limit, restriction, or sponsorship.

Currently working remotely, the company is planning a phased returned to its offices for employees. Ideally, this position would be based in their central Manchester office, although there is also an option to work in central London.

Keywords: Cloud, Golang, Rust, Python, C++, Java, Databases, Web Service APIs, Sport, AWS, Azure, CGP, Manchester, Central London, Software Engineering, Software Development
