Senior Data Scientist (26043)
This start-up seeks a Senior Data Scientist to explore sensing algorithm development and apply analysis and data management techniques. Your algorithms will extract the maximum sensing performance and value from their novel sensor devices. You will also develop front-end and visualisation tools to present your data analysis.
As the Senior Data Scientist you will have an outstanding technical degree from a known leading university. Either you have gone on to complete a PhD or you have equivalent exposure to developing algorithms requiring a close relationship to a hardware device of some nature.
Being the only data scientist in the team you will need to possess the confidence and knowledge to carry out the requirements of the position as outlined below:
- Application of techniques such as regression, clustering and machine learning
- Data manipulation and data features extraction
- Principal component analysis
- Extracting and clearly presenting useful information from data
- Using Python for data analysis and GUI implementation
- Database development and management (mySQL, AWS RDS, serverless, lambda, EC2)
- Source code version control (Bitbucket, GitHub)
This position is within a mixed discipline development team; this is an excellent opportunity to develop leading edge designs for novel new products. Some of these products will be launched on the high street so the role has the pleasure of seeing your work in everyday products.
