Obtain and process data from sensor electronics

This young start-up is looking for a Software Engineer with experience creating PC based user interfaces in C#. The data being shown will be from their new air flow sensor technology so you might have a physics or electronics background/degree which enables you to have some understanding of how to interface the software to this electronic sensor. There are electronics engineers and physicist within the team so you are not on your own, however you need to have enough understanding that you can handle processing the data from the sensor.

You will possess a good technical degree from a respected university and be familiar with a range of technologies including:

  • Programming in C# (using WPF) and Python
  • Agile development processes
  • Source code version control, GitHub or Bitbucket
  • Some knowledge of electronics, perhaps Arduino
  • Keen to pick up embedded C skills or previous experienced

Basic prototype examples already exist for the software, so you can treat those as reference designs to assist you. The position gives you opportunities to venture into data analysis for flow and gas sensing, there may be the need to explore machine learning approaches so any previous experience in this would be an advantage. And of course previous experience of interfacing to instrumentation would be advantageous.

A supportive start-up culture awaits you in an exciting and challenging role.
