Developing precision instruments and sensors for a variety of applications

This highly-regarded technical consultancy seeks a Mechanical Engineer who combines excellent scientific understanding with hands-on practical acumen. This is an exciting opportunity to work on challenging technical problems as part of a fantastic company who will nourish your career development. Our client develops innovative high-precision products and systems for a range of blue-chip companies, working at all project stages from concept through design and implementation. Currently, projects are focused around the area of medical devices; other areas of work include wearable devices, consumer products and biotechnologies.

As well as gaining an excellent undergraduate degree (1st or 2.1 from a highly-ranked university) in Mechanical Engineering with A*/A at A level physics and maths, you will either have completed a relevant PhD or display similar experience in commercial project work. You will be able to demonstrate the potential to design the mechanical parts of high-precision sensors or devices.

As a technical consultancy, the client is looking for candidates with excellent communication skills, whether talking to external customers or expressing ideas within your own project team.
