Responsibility for health and safety for high energy physics experiments

This is an interesting, challenging and social role for a graduate or experienced professional with a background and qualifications in Health and Safety to work in an R&D lab. The company comprises a multidisciplinary team of physicists, electronics, mechanical and software engineers, and runs high energy physics experiments in their labs.

Alongside key members of the team and a Health and Safety advisor, you will take responsibility to identify and assess risks and promote a health and safety culture throughout the company. You’ll engage with staff across the business, working in a range of labs, workshops and office facilities.

Your background will include:

  • NEBOSH certification and membership of IOSH
  • Demonstrable health and safety experience within a scientific setting
  • Knowledge of appropriate regulations and legislation, as well as risk assessment techniques

You’ll also be a great communicator and someone who really enjoys your work in H&S, taking a practical and adaptable approach. As you’ll be joining others who do!
