Would like to do something that helps companies meet the challenge of climate change? This successful Cambridge start-up are assisting businesses to identify and assess and the demands they face in an increasingly sensitive global economy.

They seek a personable Mathematical Consultant to assist their clients in getting the best out of the company's analytic tools and solutions. The Mathematical Consultant will be responsible for understanding the clients’ needs and specifications. They will be comfortable running quantitative models, utilising their strong background in digital analytics to ensure the solution is effective and future-proof.

A key aspect of the Mathematical Consultant’s role will be to ensure the clients fully appreciate the scope and strength of the tools and are able to make the best use of them. Providing clear and accessible training sessions and material to clients will be vitally important.

You will be working in a friendly and adaptable team, and you will be happy to make your own contributions to the work, always keeping an eye on the bigger picture and able to advise on strategic decisions. You will be a motivated and organised self-starter, showing good attention to detail and a talent for problem-solving.

The company is housed in modern, airy offices in the centre of Cambridge and some amount of remote working is available.

Requirements for success in this role:

  • A good technical degree (2.1 or above) in a technical subject, environmental studies or economics
  • Data modelling experience (possibly in finance), with demonstrated capabilities in advanced Excel and strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Proven experience of creating tracking/analytics specs based on the requirements for development and modelling teams to implement, ensuring consistent measurement and use of data across teams
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills

Full rights to work in the UK without time limit or sponsorship will also be required.
