Developing firmware for superaccurate control of miniature devices

This company develops high precision, electro-mechanical components that have varied applications within fields such as sensor technologies, haptics, robotics, consumer electronics and medical devices. They are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join their growing cross-disciplinary development team in Cambridge, working on software for controlling the miniaturised devices that will underpin future capabilities.

As a key role within the development team, this would have involvement across the full product development lifecycle from defining initial concepts through to transition to manufacture. This will be a collaborative endeavour, working with colleagues, clients and partners to decide priorities and overcome technical challenges, and this may occasionally include opportunities for overseas travel.

Essential skills and attributes:

  • A good degree (2.1 or above) in electronics or a similarly applicable subject from a well-ranked university.
  • Strong coding skills in C or C++ for embedded systems.
  • Good all-round software engineering and teamwork skills.

Not essential, but expertise in control systems, digital signal processing (DSP), or Python would benefit your application.
