Developing automated test frameworks for software-hardware systems

An Automated Software Test Engineer is sought to join a growing engineering team within a multidisciplinary company. They develop and build scientific instrumentation products. This role would be to develop software solution test plans to expand the automated test coverage, and execute system test cases within an Agile software process.

The role is not your standard test position, and due to the complexities of the instrument, it would suit a good problem solver and someone who enjoys troubleshooting.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Relevant software test experience working on Windows based platforms
  • Experience using: Jenkins (or similar) to manage test runs; virtualisation tools (know how to set up a virtual Windows test environment); JIRA for managing tasks.
  • Exposure to .NET / Visual Studio software development tools and understand how to build test-related code.

Further experience with: regulated environments; scientific lab systems; microscopy or microfluidic technologies would be desirable. Extra credit is given for formal software qualifcations (computer science degree or relevant ISTQB / ISEB).

In return, you could be joining a company that provides interesting projects and looks to support employees' careers, as well as provide a competitive salary and package. Candidates looking for full-time or part-time employment will be considered. Preference is for this role to be done onsite but hybrid working is possible.
