Embedded Software Engineer (26323)
Are you an Embedded Software Engineer with expertise in Linux and C++? Do you enjoy seeing your software bring hardware to life, whilst having visibility of (and input to) how it fits within broader system designs? If so, maybe this job might be for you!
You would be joining a successful Cambridge based development team working on a variety of projects for automotive, aerospace and marine applications. With involvement across the full software development lifecycle, you would be designing, implementing, and testing the finished code. You would also help ensure that the final product is robust and well-engineered by championing process improvement and software quality.
Essential skills and attributes:
- A strong technical background with a 2:1 or above bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- Expertise in developing software in C++ for embedded Linux
- A solid understanding of software development best practice, object-oriented design, and working with multiple threads
- Full existing right to work in the UK without company sponsorship
A particular focus of this role is the streaming of telemetry data, so experience in working with video streaming (gRPC, GStreamer) would be beneficial.
