Senior Python Developer (26363)

Building data-powered cloud infrastructure for next-gen software tools

This is a company whose software underpins the development of new technologies and products across a broad swath of the technology industry. With a large existing user base, they are now transforming their technology stack, leveraging cloud capabilities and Data-as-a-Service to enable new applications and ways of working that will revolutionise the industries they serve.

If you are looking for a new opportunity that will allow you to contribute and have your opinions listened to, whilst picking up valuable technologies to keep your skillset current, then this may be the perfect role for you.

You will need:

  • A strong academic background with 1st or 2.1 technical degree from a well-respected university
  • Broad coding skills including excellent fluency in Python together with a strong background in developing substantial and complex software projects
  • Familiarity of PySpark and common Python-based data analytics libraries (e.g., PyTorch, NumPy, or TensorFlow)
  • Full existing right to work in the UK without restriction, time limit, or sponsorship.

Technologies and avenues this role may open up for you (any previous knowledge would benefit your application): Machine Learning / Artificial Intelligence algorithms. AWS, AWS DevOps, GraphQL API, RESTful APIs, C# and .NET Core, ReactJS, Large scale data processing and analytics, Elasticsearch, leadership or mentoring other engineers, Docker and containerisation.

The role is based in the Team’s Cambridge office. Their culture has an informal start-up feel, but with the stability of being part of a successful global company. The role features a highly competitive salary and excellent benefits package.
