This is an excellent opportunity for a Programme Manager to make their mark on a growing Cambridge company.

Ideally with a background in product or device development and a solid grounding in either electrical, mechanical or software engineering, the Programme Manager will be a positive and resilient person who will expertly guide multi-discipline teams to success in the smart materials market. They will take responsibility for planning and managing projects using the lifecycle management framework to ensure the company’s goals are met.

The Programme Manager will be an effective communicator, at ease presenting to the board, engaging internal teams and fostering client relationships, including identifying new opportunities. They will be able to forecast, monitor and agree resources with Engineering Managers, securing the delivery of targets to a high level of quality, on time and within budget.

The attributes needed for this role:

  • An excellent understanding of engineering principles, covering electronics, mechanical and software, backed up by a good degree (2:1 or above) in engineering from a well-respected university.
  • The proven ability to manage multiple complex projects, balancing risk, long term and short-term goals, actively anticipating potential issues and happy to play a key role in finding the solutions.
  • Excellent client-facing skills, including the gravitas and ability to influence clients and key stakeholders, ensuring successful outcomes for projects.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to America and Asia frequently.
