Senior Software Developer - Tools (26442)

Hands-on design and development, as well as mentoring responsibilities

This Cambridge based tech company are expanding and are looking for a Senior Software Developer to join them. This team develop tools that are used internally to deploy, monitor and provide oversight for the company's robotic systems. These tools are a mix of desktop and cloud-based web platforms. Key technical aspects are scalability and robustness, and this is combined with a strong nurturing environment where mentoring of junior members of the team is important.

Requirements:

  • Degree in computer science, maths or similar (although other disciplines will be considered) followed by demonstrable relevant experience as a software developer.
  • Strong technical skills in Python coding including the successful delivery of projects.
  • Experience of desktop and / or cloud-based apps development using Python. Further experience with JavaScript / React / AWS would be desirable.
  • Interest in developing skills in others, teaching new skills and best practices within software engineering.

Due to the nature of projects, experience working within a regulated industry would be beneficial.
