Enterprise risk analytics for geopolitical, financial and climate threats

Progressive global companies need to navigate complex scenarios that the world faces as these can impact businesses, such as: changes in government policies can impact supply chains; and emerging technologies can supersede current markets. Threats, trends, opportunities and risks to a business are therefore ever-changing. This Cambridge based team looks to provide expertise in forecasting and modelling to mitigate these issues and provide a constant lookout within a changing environment.

They seek a professional Risk Intelligence Modeller to join them. In this role, you will develop and build mathematical products to present risk confidence on a wide arrange of areas. Your expertise will be used to provide economic models based on threats through major geopolitical, technological and climate scenarios, and further, you will provide consultancy services to present models to clients.

Requirements:

  • Masters or PhD in applied maths (or similar) followed by research experience in mathematical modelling using wide ranging data in areas such as vulnerability assessment, corporate risk management, risk analysis, economic impact analysis, catastrophe science, and/or sustainable development.
  • Demonstrable industry or postdoc project experience with different technologies (ideally Python, but MATLAB, R, SQL, C++ and VBA would also be considered).
  • Quantitative analysis experience of complex risk models.
  • Experience in presenting risk models to a varied audience.

On offer is an excellent remuneration package including stock options, bonus and possibility of flexible working. Part-time working is possible for highly qualified candidates.
