Production Manager (26500)

This start-up R&D company develops a range of novel mechatronics controllers for applications in the medical and environmental sectors. Their international customers are currently evaluating R&D prototype units and the company is at the stage of scaling up their production facility to manufacture devices. The manufacturing capabilities are already in place so this new role will involve developing the future strategy, building a team and will also form part of the company’s management group.

You will have a good educational background and be confident working with a talented R&D team. As well as guiding the expansion of manufacturing, you will also manage the day-to-day production operations and maintain core quality standards.

Your technical skills should ideally include a broad knowledge across many of the following areas:

• Hands-on use of ERP systems and working to ISO9001
• Quality and document management systems
• Strong understanding of managing precision automated production (laser machining / welding, PLC control)
• Working closely with R&D teams, providing feedback to the design
• Enthusiasm for process improvement and positive customer experience
