Senior IC Design Engineer (26508)

to £70,000 plus benefits

Full lifecycle digital design for next gen ARM core ASICs

Join a pioneering company, something of a household name in their field, developing custom digital ASIC designs based around ARM cores. These next generation ICs will drive a variety of novel devices and future innovations.

You and the team will collectively be involved in architectural decisions, RTL design, implementation and verification, IP selection, package definition, test pattern generation, silicon bring-up, production monitoring and management. You’ll personally take on design and implementation to define and meet ambitious targets for power, performance and footprint.

You will likely have a good technical degree from a top university and strong A-level grades, you will be UK resident and have unrestricted work permission. In addition you will bring:

  • Digital IC design expertise, ideally for “PC” style setups, ARM cores and with high speed buses, pushing power and performance boundaries.
  • Experience with all relevant aspects of the IC design process, such as RTL logic synthesis, floorplans, component place and route, clock tree synthesis, static timing analysis, power analysis, signal and power integrity concerns, ESD considerations, design rule checks, layout verification, DFT and DFM.

Overall your level of understanding of the design process will be equivalent to that achieved through several prior commercial tape-outs.

The successful candidate will join a motivated Cambridge team working on new designs, with a competitive package and a pleasant working environment. There may be some opportunities for flexible work patterns/locations given a regular presence in the Cambridge office.

Please note: even if you don't have exactly the background indicated, do contact us now if this type of job is of interest - we may well have similar opportunities that you would be suited to. And of course, we always get your permission before submitting your CV to a company.
